πŸ“£ STOP SHOUTING πŸ“£

This and a million times over!!

It’s very rare that I will raise my voice or shout at Isabelle because she is generally a well behaved little lady. However, the times when she does really push her luck or refuses to listen to something we’ve asked her to do a million times, I will shout at her and that’s when she knows I mean business!

When it’s bed time she does have a tendency to be up and down the stairs with all sorts of excuses, some are genuine and of course I will take the time to help her or reassure her with whatever’s on her mind, other times the excuses are just plain daft! She knows it and I know it. I never shout at her before bed and expect her to go to sleep because I know I wouldn’t like to be shouted before I go to sleep either!

The same applies to mornings and any other time usually. Yes, Isabelle can be sassy and trying sometimes but I won’t shout at her for it. I will instead tell her that she’s not being very sensible and shes behaving like she’s in year 3 again (she likes to be grown up and act her age), that usually does the trick and she’s back listening and doing as she’s told again.

I personally feel it’s all to do with mutual respect regardless of how old someone is. I have found by giving Isabelle the same respect I give everyone else, she generally responds better to us and behaves well 90% of the time.
